Meet NJVC’s New Interim GM

NJVC is proud to announce that David Steiner has accepted the role of Interim General Manager (GM). David Steiner has been with NJVC for more than 12 years. Before joining NJVC, David worked for BAE Systems for 23 years in several management positions, beginning in San Diego and moving to Virginia in 1995 to support a large NGA contract. He started with NJVC in 2008 as the Director of Travel and Deployment and established many travel and deployment policies still in use today. Later, his responsibilities grew when he became the Director of Support Services. In this position, he was responsible for NJVC’s facilities and continuity of operations and safety. David then moved into Program Management as a portfolio manager, supporting several projects on a large NGA program plus managing Programs for other customers. More recently, he became the NJVC VP of Operations in May 2020.

“As the Interim General Manager for NJVC, I am happy to announce that our leadership team continues to grow from within, capitalizing on the wealth of knowledge and experience NJVC employees bring to both our customers and to our company. As always, we are here to support and to ensure mission success for our customers,” said Steiner.

There is a wonderful quote from an outstanding motivational speaker, Jim Rohn, that David strives to lead by:

“The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not a bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly.”

As a native to Philadelphia, he can be found in the fall rooting for his favorite football team and looks forward to at least one weekend trip to a game at the Linc to join his other calm, quiet, well-behaved fans at an Eagles game. His favorite culinary experiences in Philly are the hoagies and cheesesteaks. In his spare time, David loves to cook and travel with his wife.

We are proud to welcome David Steiner into his new position and look forward to NJVC’s future.
