VIENNA, Va., Sept. 12, 2012— NJVC, an information technology (IT) solutions provider headquartered in Northern Virginia, has been named to this year’s InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology. This is the first year NJVC has earned a spot on this prestigious list. The list makers were announced last night at a gala awards ceremony during the InformationWeek 500 Conference at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, Calif.
“NJVC is greatly honored to be included in InformationWeek 500 for the first time—it is a true corporate milestone,” saidJody Tedesco, NJVC president. “NJVC takes technology innovation very seriously and prides itself on offering cutting-edge IT tools and techniques to customers in both the public and private sectors to make them more cost- and resource-effective and secure.”
NJVC was selected for developing a central repository for all cross-functional reporting for the company. The earlier method of aligning data ownership created data silos that impeded the automation of processes and the sharing of high-level, critical data. Understanding that unlocking this data and blending it from numerous sources (e.g., enterprise resource planning and customer resource management software, and in-house databases) into normalized data repositories was a key technology innovation that NJVC undertook in 2011.
“The InformationWeek 500 has recognized the most innovative users of business technology for 24 years, and this year’s innovations were particularly impressive,” said Rob Preston, InformationWeek vice president and editor in chief. “What the editors looked for were unconventional approaches—new technologies, new models, and new ways of grabbing business opportunities and solving complex business problems with IT.”
InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of IT with its annual 500 listing, and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of the best-known U.S. companies.
